Betty Adcock has written six collections of poetry, most recently Intervale: New and Selected Poems (2002) which won the Poets' Prize and was a finalist for the Lenore Marshall Prize from the Academy of American Poets; and Slantwise (2008). She has been honored with the North Carolina Award for Literature, the Texas Institute of Letters Prize for Poetry, the Hanes Award for Poetry from the Fellowship of Southern Writers, three Pushcart Prizes, and fellowships from the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts. She is a faculty member of the low-residency Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers.
