Elizabeth Cox has completed four novels: Familiar Ground, The Ragged Way People Fall Out of Love, The Slow Moon and Night Talk, which won the Lillian Smith Award for promoting harmony between the races and was a finalist for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. She has also published a collection of short stories, Bargains in the Real World. She shares a chair of humanities with her husband, C. Michael Curtis, at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Cox is the Fellowship of Southern Writers 2011 Robert Penn Warren Award for Fiction recipient.
